Introduction to Jocko Greens
Jocko Greens is a superfood powder supplement developed by Jocko Willink, a former Navy SEAL known for his dedication to health and fitness. The product is marketed towards athletes and fitness enthusiasts, promising to enhance performance, recovery, and nutrient absorption. With a blend of 23 organic ingredients, Jocko Greens ensures that users receive a comprehensive mix of vitamins and minerals, including key vitamins like A and C, all without the inclusion of caffeine.
The brand emphasizes that the supplement is designed for those who lead an active lifestyle and need a quick, effective nutrition solution. Marketed as a convenient nutrient boost for athletes, it claims to support optimal performance and recovery.
While these claims are impressive, as an objective reviewer, we’ll put them to the test. We’ll explore whether Jocko Greens truly delivers on its promises and if it stands out in the crowded market of super greens powders.
My Personal Jocko Greens Review, Experience, & Results
When I first received my tub of Jocko Greens, I was impressed by the packaging. The design is sleek, and the labeling provides a clear overview of the ingredients and nutritional benefits. The product comes in two flavors: Peach and Coconut Pineapple. I opted for the Coconut Pineapple flavor, hoping for a refreshing, fruity taste.
Upon opening the container, I was greeted by a vibrant green powder with a strong, earthy aroma. I mixed a scoop with cold water, as recommended. The powder dissolved relatively well, leaving only a few small clumps that I managed to whisk away with a bit of extra stirring.
As I took my first sip, I was immediately struck by the overwhelming flavor. As I said, I went with the Coconut Pineapple flavor, and I have to say, it tasted nothing like Coconut Pineapple. The greens taste was incredibly strong and not in a pleasant way. This is a little surprising because while it does not contain artificial sweeteners, it does contain monk fruit, which theoretically should mask the flavor of the greens.
The pineapple coconut flavor was so potent that I found it difficult to finish even half of the glass, which was disheartening. Maybe I just unluckily picked the worst flavor, but in any case, I would not recommend going with the coconut pineapple one. It’s a good thing that there are no artificial sweeteners, but the monk fruit just did not get the job done in this case.
After consuming Jocko Greens for a few days, I began to notice some unsettling side effects. Each time I drank the superfood powder, I experienced a significant amount of bloating and discomfort. The bloating was accompanied by a feeling of heaviness in my stomach, which was both uncomfortable and discouraging. In my experience, I have not found this to be common among superfood powder supplements, so I found this to be concerning.
One of the key selling points of Jocko Greens is its gut health support, thanks to the inclusion of probiotics. However, I quickly realized that the product lacks prebiotics and digestive enzymes, which are crucial for a comprehensive approach to digestive wellness and overall ability to support gut health. Prebiotics serve as food for the probiotics, helping them thrive and perform their functions effectively. Without them, the probiotics may not deliver the promised benefits.
The absence of digestive enzymes also meant that my body had a harder time breaking down and absorbing the nutrients, possibly contributing to the bloating and discomfort I was experiencing. If you really want to support gut health effectively, you need all three: probiotics, prebiotics, and digestive enzymes. With that said, it does contain milk thistle extract and organic sweet potato, both of which are good for your gut health.
BOTTOM LINE: Based on my experience and analysis of the formula as a Certified Nutrition Coach, I cannot in good conscience recommend Jocko Greens to my clients or readers. The overwhelming very bad pineapple coconut flavor, persistent digestive issues, and lack of comprehensive gut health support made it a very poor choice for me. On the plus side, hopefully my personal Jocko Greens review and overall experience can help give you guys some insight into what it actually feels like to take the supplement.

What sets Jocko Greens apart from other greens powders is its unique selling points. The product contains no added sugars or artificial sweeteners, utilizing monk fruit and Reb-M for natural sweetness. Additionally, the product is soy-free and has no added sugars, making it a healthier option for many consumers.
Additionally, the presence of adaptogens in the supplement aims to support stress management, catering to those following a keto-friendly, low-carb diet.
Jocko Greens Unboxing and Initial Impressions
Unboxing Jocko Greens was a straightforward experience. The product arrived tightly sealed, a clear indication of the brand’s commitment to maintaining freshness and quality. Inside the box, we found a scoop for measuring servings and a user guide with clear instructions on how to use the product. The overall presentation was professional, and the instructions were easy to follow, making the initial setup hassle-free.
The attention to detail in packaging left a positive first impression. The sturdy design and tight seal not only preserved the product’s freshness but also reflected the brand’s emphasis on quality. This initial experience set the stage for what to expect from Jocko Greens in terms of usability and overall user experience.
Mixing and Preparation
Preparing Jocko Greens is a breeze. The recommended serving size is 1 scoop (10.2 g) mixed with 8 oz. of water. We found that the powder dissolves smoothly when mixed with water, juice, or even smoothies, providing versatility based on personal preferences.
Using cold water and a shaker bottle works best for a smoother texture. Mixing Jocko Greens with enough water (8-10 ounces) helps achieve a smooth texture without any clumping issues. This ease of preparation makes it a convenient option for those with busy schedules who need a quick nutrient boost.
Packaging Design and Usability
The packaging of Jocko Greens is impressive. Designed to be both sturdy and visually appealing, it reflects the product’s branding effectively. The container is durable, ensuring it withstands daily use without damage. This is particularly important for athletes who may carry the product around in their gym bags.

Furthermore, the size and shape of the container make it convenient for storage, whether on shelves or in cabinets.
Overall, the packaging not only promotes product freshness by preventing moisture and air exposure but also ensures a hassle-free user experience.
Jocko Greens Ingredients & Nutrition Facts Analysis
Jocko Greens boasts a high standard of ingredient quality and transparency. The product is manufactured in a GMP-certified facility in the United States, ensuring rigorous manufacturing standards. This commitment to quality is further emphasized by the use of organic ingredients, including organic greens, superfoods, and probiotics.
However, it’s worth noting that Jocko Greens lacks third-party testing certification, which raises questions about its independent quality verification. Despite this, the product is produced in an FDA-registered and cGMP-compliant facility, providing some assurance of its quality.
The inclusion of organic ingredients like organic sweet potato, organic Broccoli sprout, organic Beets, organic Chlorella, organic Spirulina, organic wheat grass, organic oat grass, organic Kale, and organic wild blueberry underscores the product’s emphasis on high quality ingredients and completely all-natural greens powder. This transparency in ingredient sourcing is a significant selling point for health-conscious consumers, especially since they use organic greens.
Organic greens are much more beneficial than non-organic because you can be confident that organic greens don’t contain any harmful preservatives that could negatively impact your health. I especially like the inclusion of organic oat grass and organic wheat grass because I personally believe they are two of the most powerful superfoods in existence. There are a ton of clinical studies that show these organic greens can produce truly amazing benefits.
In one clinical study on organic oat grass, they concluded that the saponins oat grass contains have antioxidant properties that could provide “immense health benefits.” In one clinical study on organic wheat grass, they concluded that the proteins wheat grass contains could have “significant anti inflammatory effects.”
Here is a list of what I believe to be the other key ingredients in the formula:
- organic broccoli sprout
- organic banana powder
- organic wild blueberry
- organic acai powder
- organic carrots
- organic spinach
- organic beets
- organic cabbage
- organic grape
- organic spirulina
- organic chlorella
- organic pomegranate
- organic goji berry
- milk thistle extract
Organic fruits and vegetables like these are crucial because they naturally contain a very high amount of phytonutrients and essential vitamins and minerals, such as Vitamin C. Vitamin C is incredibly important for a lot of different reasons, and almost everyone is Vitamin C deficient without even knowing it.
Feeding your body essential vitamins and minerals like Vitamin C is very important, especially for your immune system health, and one of the many benefits of consuming greens supplements…and Vitamin C is just the start of it. Vitamin C is not the only essential vitamin that superfood supplements are naturally very high in. They also contain many other critical vitamins like Vitamin D, Vitamin K, and Vitamin B. I personally will take my greens supplement (Total Living Drink Greens) every day till I die!
Taste and Texture Experience
The taste and texture of Jocko Greens can be a hit or miss, depending on individual preferences. Available in flavors like Peach and Coconut Pineapple, the product offers a fruity, tropical flavor profile. However, some customers find the taste excessively sweet, indicating mixed feedback on taste satisfaction.
For the best taste experience, we recommend mixing Jocko Greens powder with cold water and ice in a shaker bottle for 20 to 30 seconds. This method helps achieve a smooth, juicy finish without any clumping issues. Blending the powder into a smoothie can also help mask its flavor by combining it with fruits and other ingredients.
Overall, while the texture is smooth and the product dissolves well, individual taste preferences may vary. Using flavored liquids such as coconut water or natural juice can enhance the sweetness and overall taste satisfaction.

Jocko Greens Vs Athletic Greens (AKA AG1)
AG1 (again also known as Athletic Greens) is by far the most popular of all the greens powders on the market. Therefore, as a Nutrition Coach, my clients always ask me questions about Athletic Greens regarding whether or not it works, how it compares to other greens powders, etc. For that reason, I’ve decided to go ahead and do a quick comparison of these two supplements to see how they stack up against each other. Without further adieu, let’s dive into the Jocko Greens Vs Athletic Greens comparison…
Athletic Greens:
- Ingredients: Contains 75 vitamins, minerals, probiotics, prebiotics, adaptogens, and superfoods like Spirulina and Chlorella.
- Benefits: Offers comprehensive nutritional support, including enhanced immunity, digestion, and energy levels.
- Quality: High-quality, whole food-sourced ingredients with extensive nutrient variety.
- Reviews: Generally positive, highlighting the comprehensive nutrition and palatable taste.
- Price: Higher at $3.30 per serving, but offers extensive health benefits and superior ingredient quality.
Jocko Greens:
- Ingredients: Features organic greens, superfoods, and probiotics like Organic Kale and Spirulina.
- Benefits: Supports basic nutrition and gut health but with fewer ingredients and a narrower focus.
- Quality: Emphasizes organic ingredients, but lacks the diversity and breadth of Athletic Greens.
- Reviews: Mixed, with some praising its organic nature but many criticizing its strong flavor.
- Price: More affordable at $1.77 per serving, but provides less nutritional value.
Conclusion: Which One Is Better?
While Jocko Greens is a decent budget-friendly option, Athletic Greens’ comprehensive approach and superior quality make it the better choice for those who are serious about getting significant health improvements from their greens supplement.
HOWEVER, it is worth noting that Athletic Greens is actually NOT my top ranked greens powder.
My Conclusion On Jocko Greens
Jocko Greens is a superfood powder supplement that claims to enhance athletic performance and support overall health through its blend of 23 organic ingredients. While the manufacturer claims that Jocko Greens effectively supports immunity, boosts energy levels, and aids digestion, I did not find that to be the case in my personal experience taking Jocko Greens.
Based on my negative personal experience and my analysis of the nutrition facts, I would NOT recommend Jocko Greens to any of my clients or readers.
