Introduction to 8 Greens

8 Greens, founded by Dawn Russell, allows you to effortlessly integrate more greens into your diet via effervescent tablets. Russell designed this product to assist those struggling with health issues, like herself, who required an efficient nutrient delivery method. The product’s popularity has surged due to its ability to bolster a healthy lifestyle by providing a swift, hassle-free way to take in your daily greens, making it a great alternative to traditional greens powder.

8 Greens targets health-conscious individuals seeking a straightforward way to enhance their nutrient intake. Whether you are a busy professional, an on-the-go parent, or just someone keen on maintaining a balanced diet, 8 Greens is designed to simplify the process for you.

8 Greens distinguishes itself by being made with real greens and incorporating organic ingredients like spinach organic aloe vera, as well as:

Each tablet is densely packed with these super greens, purporting to offer essential nutrients in an easy-to-use form. But do these claims stand up to scrutiny? We’ll examine them thoroughly.

My Experience Taking 8Greens: A Nutrition Coach’s Perspective

As a nutrition coach, I’m always on the lookout for beneficial supplements. When I found 8 Greens, which boasts eight powerful greens like organic spinach, organic kale, organic spirulina, organic barley grass, organic wheatgrass powder, and organic broken cell chlorella, I was eager to try it, especially because of how convenient the greens tablets are…you don’t have to mix greens powder into a shake like you do with most of these supplements. However, my experience was not positive at all.

After a few days of taking the 8 Greens tablets, I started experiencing mild bloating and a feeling of fullness. Hoping my body was just adjusting, I continued using the supplement.

The symptoms escalated to severe bloating, gas, and stomach cramps. My digestion became irregular, affecting my daily routine and making me feel sluggish and uncomfortable. Instead of feeling energized, I suffered from fatigue and brain fog. This was unexpected and concerning given my usual high energy levels.

By the third week, I noticed more skin breakouts than usual. Alarmed by these persistent issues, I decided to stop taking 8Greens. Once I stopped the supplement, my symptoms improved rapidly. My digestion normalized, energy levels returned, and my skin began to clear up.

The one positive thing I can say about 8Greens is that the lemon lime flavor actually tasted pretty decent, which is probably because of the fact that they add stevia leaf extract into the formula to mask the taste of the greens.

Bottom Line: Based on my negative personal results taking 8 Greens combined with my professional analysis of the SFP (Supplement Facts Panel) as a Nutrition Coach, I would never recommend 8 Greens to any of my clients or readers. I just had a horrible experience with it overall and did not experience any health benefits, but don’t let that sour your perception of green powder supplements! There are some truly amazing ones out there…

Manufacturer’s Claims

8 Greens posits some bold assertions about their supplements. The manufacturer states that each greens tablet not only bolsters the immune system and energy levels but also contributes to overall health and well-being. These features make the product an attractive choice for individuals aiming to augment their diet.

The tablets contain a proprietary blend of greens, including spinach, kale, and spirulina, among others. Each ingredient is chosen for its high nutrient content and potential health benefits. However, it’s important to note that 8 Greens is intended as a dietary booster, not a replacement for a healthy diet. We’ll be putting these claims to the test as we continue our review.

Unboxing and Initial Impressions

Upon unboxing the 8 Greens tablets, the first thing that stands out is the well-organized packaging. The product comes with a tube of effervescent tablets along with clear instructions and informational booklets detailing the benefits of each ingredient. The setup process is straightforward, with clear labeling and easy-to-follow guidelines on how to dissolve a tablet in water.

The initial impression is positive, with everything you need to get started right out of the box. There are no additional tools or accessories required, making it a hassle-free experience from the start. The thoughtful packaging and ease of setup set a good tone for what’s to come. It’s always a good idea to read reviews to ensure you’re making the best choice.

Ease of Use

Simplicity is one of the major appeals of the 8 Greens tablets. Its design eliminates the need for extra tools or accessories, allowing you to effortlessly blend it into your daily routine by merely adding an 8 Greens tablet to water or a smoothie. The process is uncomplicated: immerse a greens tablet in a glass of water, allow it to dissolve, then enjoy your drink. It’s a fuss-free method to consume your greens.

There are no major safety precautions to be aware of, making it user-friendly for people of all ages. Whether you’re at home, at work, or on the go, the 8 Greens tablets offer a convenient solution to boost your nutrient intake with minimal effort. The effervescent nature of the tablets means there’s no need for stirring or shaking, which is a nice touch for those who want a quick and easy solution.

However, there are a few minor challenges. Depending on the temperature of the water used, the tablets may take a bit longer to dissolve completely. This can be a slight inconvenience if you’re in a hurry, but it’s a small price to pay for the convenience it offers overall.

Aesthetic Appeal

8 Greens’ aesthetic appeal is undeniably attractive. The eye-catching packaging features:

  • Vivid green shades, reflecting the product’s health-giving vitality
  • Crisp and minimalist design
  • Fresh and natural green and white hues
  • Highlighting of the brand name ‘8 Greens’ and key ingredients, providing a clear understanding of the product’s core attributes.

The tablets themselves are small, round, and have a green hue, indicative of their rich vegetable content. This simple yet effective design adds to the overall appeal, making it clear that you’re consuming a product packed with real greens.

Material Quality and Durability

8 Greens showcases its commitment to sustainability through its eco-friendly packaging, featuring a spinner white decorative design. The compact design uses recyclable materials, appealing to environmentally mindful consumers looking to minimize their carbon footprint.

The quality of the ingredients and packaging also speaks to the product’s durability. The tablets are designed to withstand various conditions, ensuring they remain effective until consumption. Overall, 8 Greens emphasizes eco-conscious choices without compromising on quality, making it a durable and reliable option for those looking to boost their nutrient intake.

8 Greens Customer Reviews & Feedback

Using 8 Greens is a breeze. The effervescent super greens tablets dissolve easily in water, making them quick and convenient to prepare. There’s no need for shaking or stirring, which is a major plus for anyone looking for a hassle-free way to get their greens. Simply drop a tablet in water, watch it fizz, and in a minute or two, you have a nutrient-rich drink ready to go.

Many users appreciate the pleasant taste of the 8 Greens tablets, noting that it doesn’t have the grassy or earthy flavor often associated with green supplements. This makes it easier to incorporate into daily routines, whether you’re drinking it in the morning for a quick nutrient boost or adding it to your afternoon smoothie.

However, like any product, there are some challenges. Some users have reported minor issues like tablets not dissolving completely or experiencing a slightly gritty texture, which is most likely due to the organic wheatgrass powder in my opinion. Wheatgrass powder is known to be extremely gritty in texture. These are relatively minor inconveniences and don’t significantly detract from the overall user experience.

8 Greens Ingredients & Nutritional Analysis

8 greens nutrition facts and supplement facts

8 Greens’ potent nutritional impact is a highly acclaimed benefit. Each 8 Greens tablet combines eight specific greens they use as part of their proprietary greens blend:

This proprietary greens blend aims to offer a significant elevation to your nutrient intake. The green algae Spirulina is, in my professional opinion, the most important superfood to include in any super greens formula.

Green Algae Organic Spirulina has been proven across multiple clinical studies to produce some very significant health benefits. The problem in the case of the 8 Greens tablets is that the green algae organic spirulina is insanely under-dosed and therefore unlikely to produce any benefits, as I personally can attest to since I tested the 8 Greens tablets.

Other stand out ingredients to me are the Organic Blue Green Algae and the Organic Barley Grass, both of which have a ton of clinical studies that show their amazing potential. However, the problem is the same as with the Spirulina…both ingredients are super under-dosed and therefore unlikely to produce any noticeable health benefits.

Each 8 Greens tablet is packed with significant amounts of vitamins and minerals. For instance, each tablet contains:

  • as much vitamin B5 as 15 cups of broccoli
  • vitamin C as 6 oranges
  • vitamin B6 as 6 cups of spinach
  • vitamin B12 as 7 cups of milk
  • zinc as 3 cups of raw peas

The 8 Greens tablets also include something that they refer to as “microcrystalline cellulose spinach organic aloe vera inner leaf.” To me, calling spinach “cellulose spinach organic aloe vera” is just the manufacturer using a bunch of mumbo jumbo technical words to make the ingredient sound more significant than it is, but it probably fools most people unfortunately.

This makes 8 Greens tablets appear at first glance to be a solid vegetable juice supplement, but as I revealed in my personal 8Greens experiment, it definitely does not live up to the hype.

However, some users have reported minor digestive discomfort, such as bloating or gas, when first incorporating 8 Greens into their diet. These side effects are usually temporary and tend to diminish as the body’s digestive system adjusts to the new supplement.

Here are some of the other ingredients that can be found on the nutrition facts panel for those interested. These ingredients were likely added to mask the taste of the vegetable juice, seeing as how these are all well known natural flavor sweeteners (especially citric acid):

  • citric acid
  • ascorbic acid
  • stevia leaf extract
  • sodium bicarbonate
  • potassium bicarbonate
  • safflower oil

8 Greens Taste and Palatability

8 Greens is available in four flavors:

  • Lemon Lime
  • Blood Orange
  • Melon
  • Peach Tea

Users generally find these flavors pleasant and enjoyable, making it easier to incorporate the supplement into their daily routine. The taste frequently receives favorable comparisons to other supplements like Emergen-C, attesting to its pleasing flavor.

Despite some negative reviews about its taste, most users agree that 8 Greens is more palatable compared to other green supplements. The effervescent tablets create a refreshing, fizzy drink that many find enjoyable. This makes it a tasty addition to your water, enhancing the overall drinking experience.

However, it’s worth noting that a few users have experienced mild nausea when consuming 8 Greens. This could be a potential challenge for some individuals, but it doesn’t seem to be a widespread issue.

Practical Challenges

Despite the numerous benefits of 8 Greens, it does come with some practical issues. Some users have noted that the tablets might not fully dissolve, leaving residue at the bottom of the glass. This could be a slight inconvenience, particularly for those in a rush without ample time for thorough stirring.

Additionally, there can be variations in how quickly the tablets dissolve based on the temperature of the water used. Warmer water tends to dissolve the tablets faster, while colder water may take a bit longer. Some users also report a slightly gritty texture, which can affect the drink’s overall consistency. These are relatively minor issues but worth noting for those considering adding 8 Greens to their routine.

Overall Assessment

Overall, 8 Greens Effervescent Tablets are a solid choice for anyone looking to boost their micronutrient intake. They are especially suitable for individuals on:

  • vegan
  • gluten-free
  • non-GMO
  • dairy-free diets

While the product is not meant to replace a healthy diet, it serves as an excellent nutrient booster.

The price per serving is reasonable, especially when bought in bulk, which makes it a cost-effective option for many. When considering the convenience, nutritional benefits, and overall user experience, 8 Greens offers good value for money.

Comparison with Alternatives

When compared to alternatives like Goli Supergreens Gummies, 8 Greens holds its own. While 8 Greens Effervescent Tablets cost about $1.60 per serving when purchasing a 10-tablet pack, this price can decrease to $1.20 per serving with bulk purchases. In contrast, Goli Supergreens Gummies are priced around $0.63 per serving, making them a more affordable option.

However, Goli Gummies and HUM Nutrition’s Raw Beauty both offer unique benefits. Here’s a comparison of the two:

  • Goli Gummies include 11 supergreens and additional ingredients like probiotics, vitamins, and minerals.
  • HUM Nutrition’s Raw Beauty contains a blend of 39 superfoods, including fruits, vegetables, and adaptogens.
  • Both products are vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
  • Neither product undergoes third-party testing.

The choice between the two will depend on individual preferences regarding taste, ingredient composition, weight considerations, and budget.

My Conclusion: Is 8 Greens Worth It?

To sum up, 8 Greens offers a handy and efficacious method to enhance your daily nutrient consumption. The product’s strengths stem from its user-friendliness, agreeable taste, and considerable nutritional benefits. Despite minor practical hurdles, they don’t significantly undermine the overall experience.

For those seeking a simple and efficient way to incorporate more greens into their diet, 8 Greens could be a decent option, but at the end of the day, it’s just not potent enough to be a supplement I can feel comfortable recommending as a Nutrition Coach. I’ve tried so many different superfood supplements, and this one just can not hang with the best of the best.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the main ingredients in 8 Greens?

The main ingredients in 8 Greens tablets are spinach, kale, aloe vera, wheatgrass, blue-green algae, barley grass, chlorella, and spirulina. That’s quite a lineup! However, the problem with the 8 Greens tablets is that the ingredients are very severely under-dosed. You really are not getting large enough dosages of these ingredients in order for any benefits to be produced, which make these greens tablets useless in my opinion.

How do I use 8 Greens tablets?

Just drop one of the 8 Greens tablets into a glass of water or a smoothie and enjoy the benefits. It’s that easy! That’s really the only thing I like about 8 Greens tablets…the simplicity and convenience. Aside from that, these green tablets really suck. The dosages of the ingredients in the tablets is just way too low.

Are there any side effects of using 8 Greens?

Some users may experience minor digestive discomfort like bloating or gas when initially adding 8 Greens tablets to their diet. It’s a common side effect for some, and I personally did experience this side effect as well when I was testing the 8 Greens tablets. I experienced a lot of other side effects as well, mostly related to digestive health and/or gastrointestinal function.

How does 8 Greens compare to Goli Supergreens Gummies?

8 Greens offers a robust blend of greens, but it’s pricier, while Goli Supergreens Gummies are more affordable and contain probiotics for added benefits. 8 Greens tablets, 8 Greens gummies, and Goli Supergreens are all rip offs in my opinion. As a Nutrition Coach, I would absolutely never recommend any of these supplements to my clients. They are all simply very low quality and therefore very unlikely to produce benefits.

Is 8 Greens suitable for all diets?

Yes, 8 Greens is suitable for vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and dairy-free diets. So it’s a great option for a variety of dietary preferences. With that being said, if the greens tablets don’t really produce any noticeable benefits, what’s the point? Yes, the 8 Greens tablets are suitable for all diets and very convenient to use, but at the end of the day, the supplement doesn’t work…bottom line, it’s convenient but still a major waste of money.
